Acrogem is a lightly banded sandstone from the Donnybrook region in Western Australia, this stone has an excellent history of performance in traditional and contemporary building. A silaceous sandstone which excels in physical properties comparative tests. Acrogem is a medium to fine-grain sandstone composed predominantly of quartz
(58%), feldspar(24%) and clay. The quartz exhibits a recrystallised
character resulting in fusion between adjacent grains. Colours are
stable and permanent.
