Gosford Quarries recommends to protect their sandstone with StoneShield Plus when layed around wet areas such as pools and/or in coastal environments, where salt attack can cause damage to any sandstone surfaces. (salt attack test results available on request). The protective strength of the StoneShield Plus impregnator will significantly reduce weathering and ensure that treated surfaces will always look better for longer than unprotected surfaces. StoneShield Plus must be initially, if possible, applied by dip soaking the entire sandstone component completely into the StoneShield Plus solution, prior to installation. We would recommend re-coating the components insitu, after every 3 years to ensure ongoing protection. StoneShield Plus is available in 1Ltr and 5Ltr bottles.
