White Stone Initiative Fundraiser

White Stone is an initiative by the Maronite Bishop of Australia His Excellency Antoine Charbel Tarabay aimed at building a rehabilitation centre for drug and alcohol dependant youth in our community. The Sarkis Family recently held a luncheon to raise much needed funds as well as presented His Excellency a symbolic landmark entrance Stone, made using our stunning Pure White Australian Sandstone with the "WhiteStone" Logo skillfully carved. This will be used as the entrance feature of the Rehabilitation centre. A beautiful donation which all of the Sarkis Bros. team were proud to have contributed to.

Glenorie RSL 2010 Donation

We were very proud to donate a sandstone Cenotaph to our local Glenorie RSL in 2010. This meticulously hand crafted cannon, sitting on 3 tapered solid Australian sandstone blocks sourced from our Mangrove Mountain Buff range and towers over 6 meters, has brought much joy to the community of Glenorie, especially our veterans.

Introducing the Wurrungwuri Stone Sculpture, Sydney Botanical Gardens

The 'Wurrungwuri Stone Sculpture' was a bequest in the will of the late Ronald Johnson, his will directed that a substantial sum should be used to provide a sculpture to be placed on the Sydney Harbour foreshore. Following an international competition, the Trustees of the Estate selected Chris Booth, an internationally renowned sculptor from New Zealand to design and develop the sculpture and Gosford Quarries to supply the sandstone. The site chosen for the sculpture is close to Government House in the Royal Botanical Gardens Sydney.

GQ's 2010 Donation to the Bryce Anderson Project

We are proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to the deserving cause of the Bryce Anderson project. Many Aussies will remember the televised coverage of this heart-warming project to complete the dream of the late Bryce Anderson who was tragically killed in service in 2012. Gosford quarries donated both material and labour to implement the internal fireplace cladding and the external Landscape logs, using the finest Australian sandstone.

GQ's Donation to the Tom Dancey Memorial

After hearing the TOM DANCEY (an inspiring Aboriginal Stawell Race Winner 1910) story on Radio 2GB’s Allen Jones Breakfast Show, where his great niece Maureen was pleading with the public and the Dirranbandi local authorities for funds to recognise her great uncle who was buried in an unmarked grave, Sarkis Bros was the first there to pledge a sandstone headstone.
